H.E. LY Chantola Meets with the OECD Secretariat to Strengthen Cooperation on Legal and Regulatory Reform.

On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, in Manila, Philippines, during the 11th ASEAN–OECD Good Regulatory Practice Network (GRPN) Meeting, H.E. LY Chantola, Secretary of State of the Office of the Council of Ministers, Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General of the Legal Reform Committee (LRC), along with legal experts from the LRC General Secretariat, met with representatives from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Secretariat for a bilateral discussion to strengthen cooperation on legal and regulatory reform.
The OECD delegation was led by Mr. Daniel Trnka, Head of Southeast Asia Cooperation and Head of Regulatory Design and Performance, Regulatory Policy Division, OECD, and included Mr. James Drummond, Ms. Ramisa Huq, and Ms. Sara Dias, Policy Analysts from the OECD Regulatory Policy Division.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views and experiences on legal and regulatory reform, improving the quality of regulations, reducing regulatory burdens, and exploring international best practices that could be considered in the context of legal reform in Cambodia.
The discussions also aimed to explore opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the LRC and the OECD, particularly in areas such as knowledge sharing, technical assistance, and institutional capacity building, to support the Royal Government of Cambodia’s legal reform program.
