His Excellency LY Chantola, Secretary of State of the Office of the Council of Ministers, Vice Chairman, and Secretary-General of the Legal Reform Committee (LRC), Attends Senate Meeting to Review the Draft Law on Cambodia’s Accession to the Cape Town Convention and the Aircraft Protocol

On the morning of Thursday, 23 July 2026, at Vikrom III Hall, Senate Palace, His Excellency LY Chantola, Secretary of State of the Office of the Council of Ministers, Vice Chairman, and Secretary-General of the Legal Reform Committee (LRC), attended a meeting with the 5th and 9th Senate Commissions to examine and review the Draft Law on the Approval of the Kingdom of Cambodia’s Accession to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the Protocol to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment.
The meeting was jointly chaired by H.E. Dr. Chiv Yisang, Chairman of the Senate’s 5th Commission, and H.E. Um Sarith, Chairman of the Senate’s 9th Commission on Public Works, Transport, Civil Aviation, Posts and Telecommunications, Industry, Science, Technology, Innovation, Mines, Energy, Commerce, Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction. The inter-commission meeting was held with representatives of the Royal Government of Cambodia, led by H.E. Dr. Mao Havannall, Minister in Charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation.
The purpose of the meeting was to examine and review the draft law approving the Kingdom of Cambodia’s accession as a State Party to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the Protocol to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment.
The meeting was attended by the Chairpersons, Vice Chairpersons, and Members of the 5th and 9th Senate Commissions, as well as representatives of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
