H.E. LY Chantola, Secretary of State of the Office of the Council of Ministers, Vice Chairman, and Secretary-General of the Legal Reform Committee (LRC), led a delegation to pay their respects to the late H.E. Dr. Hiv Sovann, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and father of H.E. Hiv Panhavuth, Secretary of State of the Office of the Council of Ministers.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, 14 October 2026, at Wat Lanka Preah Kosomaram in Phnom Penh, H.E. LY Chantola led a delegation to pay their respects to the late H.E. Dr. Hiv Sovann, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, who was the father of H.E. Hiv Panhavuth, Secretary of State of the Office of the Council of Ministers.

During this time of profound sorrow, on behalf of the leadership, civil servants, legal experts, and all staff members of the General Secretariat of the LRC, H.E. LY Chantola and the delegation expressed their deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family. The passing of H.E. Dr. Hiv Sovann represents a profound loss of a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who embodied compassion, kindness, and generosity toward his wife, children, grandchildren, and all his beloved relatives and friends.
