On Friday morning, September 4, 2026, at the Office of the Council of Ministers, H.E. Ky Tech, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Missions and President of the Executive Committee of the Council of Jurists representing H.E. Vongsey Vissoth, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in Charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers, and Chairman of the Legal Reform Steering Committee (LRSC)—presided over the Dissemination Workshop on the Legal Reform of the Royal Government of Cambodia. The workshop was attended by leaders, members, advisors, assistants, and officials of the Council of Jurists of the Office of the Council of Ministers.
Speaking at the workshop, the Senior Minister and President of the Executive Committee of the Council of Jurists informed the participants that the objective of the workshop was to showcase the progress of the Royal Government’s legal reforms and to discuss the participation of the Council of Jurists in accelerating these reforms. The workshop focused on key points, including the background of legal reform, the strategic framework of the reform program, achievements to date, the future direction of the Legal Reform Committee, and especially the indispensable interconnected mechanism between the Legal Reform Committee and the Council of Jurists of the Office of the Council of Ministers.
Additionally, the workshop featured a presentation on “Legal Reform of the Royal Government of Cambodia” delivered by H.E.
Ly Chantola, Secretary of State, Vice Chairman, and Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the LRC.
The workshop was attended by leaders of the Office of the Council of Ministers, members, advisors, and assistants of the Council of Jurists, as well as leaders and officials of all levels from the General Secretariat of the Legal Reform Committee and relevant parties, totaling 142 participants.
