On the morning of Friday, 13 March 2026, at the Office of the Council of Ministers, H.E. Ly Chantola, Secretary of State of the Office of the Council of Ministers and Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General of the Legal Reform Committee (LRC), accompanied by H.E. Som Kantha, Deputy Secretary of State of the Office of the Council of Ministers and Deputy Secretary-General of the Legal Reform Committee (LRC), attended the plenary meeting of the Council of Ministers under the high chairmanship of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, via the Zoom platform. The agenda of the plenary session of the Council of Ministers was as follows:
1. Progress in the implementation of measures and future directions to eliminate technology-based fraud (online scams);
2. The draft Law on the Suppression of Technology-Based Fraud;
3. A progress report on the resolution of issues concerning refugees;
4. An assessment of Cambodia’s economic outlook for 2026, based on emerging risks arising from changes in geopolitical dynamics, the global and regional economy, as well as domestic challenges.
The meeting was attended by Excellencies and Lok Chumteav members of the Royal Government, leaders of relevant ministries and institutions, as well as chairpersons of provincial councils, governors and deputy governors of the provincial administrations, provincial police commissioners, commanders of provincial sub-regional military operations, and other relevant officials.
