On Friday, February 27, 2026, at TRIBE in Phnom Penh, His Excellency Ly ChanTola, Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General of the Committee for Legal Reform (LRC), presided over the closing ceremony of the training course on “Strengthening Capacity in Legal System Reform in Cambodia” and awarded certificates of completion to the participants.
The training course was organized with the objective of strengthening and enhancing the knowledge, professional skills, and institutional capacity of senior officials and technical officers of the LRC, as well as relevant stakeholders, in order to support the effective implementation of the strategic framework of the Royal Government’s legal reform program.
The training program focused on legislative drafting, legal codification and dissemination, monitoring and evaluation of legal effectiveness, dispute resolution mechanisms, and ensuring legal coherence. It also aimed to promote innovation, digital modernization, and stronger cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and Australia.
On this occasion, His Excellency Ly ChanTola delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of human resource development and professional capacity-building within the broader context of legal system reform to align with socio-economic development. This was followed by remarks from Ms. Bridget Collier, Deputy Head of Mission of the Australian Embassy to Cambodia, who reaffirmed continued support and strengthened cooperation in the legal sector between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Excellency and Ms. Bridget Collier had the honor of presenting certificates of completion to the participants. The training course was attended by Excellencies, senior leaders, legal experts, members of the Council of Jurists, and other relevant officials.
It should be noted that the training course was conducted over four days—February 23, 24, 26, and 27, 2026—in accordance with the established program and plan.
