H.E. Ly Chantola, Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General of the Legal Reform Committee (LRC), Presides over the Opening of the Training Course on “Strengthening Capacity in Legal System Reform in Cambodia”

On the morning of Monday, 23 February 2026, at TRIBE Hotel, Phnom Penh, H.E. Ly Chantola, Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General of the Legal Reform Committee (LRC), presided over the opening ceremony of the training course on “Strengthening Capacity in Legal System Reform in Cambodia.”
The objective of this training course is to enhance the knowledge, skills, and institutional capacity of senior officials and technical officers of the Legal Reform Committee (LRC), as well as relevant stakeholders, in order to effectively implement the Strategic Framework of the Government’s Legal Reform Program. The program aims to strengthen capacity in legislative drafting, legal codification and dissemination, legal monitoring and evaluation, dispute resolution mechanisms, and legal coherence. It also seeks to promote best practices, digital modernization, and closer cooperation between Cambodia and Australia.
The training commenced with opening remarks delivered by H.E. Ly Chantola, Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General of the Legal Reform Committee (LRC). This was followed by welcoming remarks from Her Excellency Bridget Collier, Deputy Head of Mission of the Australian Embassy in Cambodia.
It is also noted that H.E. Ly Chantola participated in the training alongside Excellencies, senior leaders, legal experts of the LRC, members of the Council of Jurists, and other officials.
